Communicate With the 1791R Module
Determine the Baud Rate for Yo u r R e m ote I /O C o n ne c t io n
Use the DIP switches to set the baud rate before you power up the module.
Refer to the following table for baud rate specifications.
I/O Image Word/Bit Definitions
The smallest portion of a scanners I/O image that can be allocated to a single
Remote I/O device is two logical groups or 1/4 logical rack. A device’s
starting group must begin at even group numbers (0, 2, 4, or 6). See your
scanner documentation for further details.
All combinations of 1791R base and expansion modules will fit in the space
allocated by 1/4 logical rack, except for the 1791D-N4CV2X analog module,
which fits in a 3/4 rack.
