7000 Medium Voltage Drives
Medium Voltage Drives provide a single solution for all medium voltage speed control requirements. The PowerFlex
7000 AC drive exceeds customers’ expectations by delivering superior reliability, ease-of-use and lower total cost of
ownership. The advanced power semiconductor technology reduces component count to the lowest of any medium
voltage drive available, translating to increased savings and reliability, less downtime and fewer spare parts.
2400 to 6600 volts, 150 to 25,400 kW
(200 to 34000 Hp).
Direct-to-Drive technology allows you to
connect utility power directly to the drive
without an isolation transformer. It reduces
size and weight, while eliminating common
mode voltage and remaining compliant
to the world’s most accepted harmonic
standards.
6.5 kV SGCT (Symmetrical Gate
Commutated Thyristor) power
semiconductors with integrated gate
drive for low component count, fewer
connections and simple power structure.
Drive identity module allows pre-
programming of customer specific drive and
application parameters for faster start up.
Set-up wizard, auto tuning, and
pre-programmed parameter designed
for faster start up.
Field programmable gate arrays (FPGA)

the components to be replaced without
removing the PowerCage in under 5 minutes
for the “A” and “B” Frames and under 15
